This policy explains which cookies this website uses, for what purpose and how you can manage them, in compliance with Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser when you visit them. They make it possible, for example, to remember your preferences or to understand how the site is used. This policy also applies to similar technologies, such as browser local storage identifiers.
Depending on who manages them, cookies can be first-party (set by the owner of this site) or third-party (set by another entity, such as Google). Depending on their purpose, they can be technical or necessary (essential for the site to work or to remember your cookie choice) or analytics cookies (they measure the audience and use of the site). Depending on how long they last, they can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a set period).
2. Cookies used by this website
This website does not use advertising or social media cookies, does not embed third-party content, and serves its fonts from the site itself, so no requests are made to external servers when a page loads. The only cookies it may set are the following:
Technical or necessary cookies
These do not require consent. They are used solely to remember the choice you make in the cookie banner.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consent preference | First-party | Stores whether you accepted or refused analytics cookies, so that we do not ask you again on every visit | 12 months |
Analytics cookies
These are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. They are used by Google Analytics 4, an audience measurement service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to learn in aggregate how many people visit the site, which pages they view, which device and language they use and how they reach the site. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics (third-party) | Anonymous identifier that distinguishes each user | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> |
Google Analytics (third-party) | Keeps the session state for this site’s Google Analytics property | 2 years |
Google may process this data on servers located in the United States. This transfer is covered by the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and by standard contractual clauses. More information is available in Google’s privacy policy and on the page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Online shop cookies
The GlopPaper online shop, linked from the buttons on this site, is a separate website with its own cookie policy. Any cookies set by the shop are governed by that policy.
3. Legal basis
Technical cookies are set under Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE, which exempts them from consent. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent, which you give by clicking “Accept” in the cookie banner and which you may withdraw at any time. Refusing analytics cookies does not limit access to the site or to any of its contents.
4. How to accept, refuse or withdraw cookies
- From the cookie banner. When you enter the site you can accept or refuse analytics cookies. Your choice is stored for twelve months; after that, or if you delete your cookies, we will ask you again.
- Changing your choice. You can change your decision at any time from the cookie settings link in the site footer.
- From your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that if you block all cookies we will not be able to remember your choice and the banner will be shown again.
- Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Google offers a browser add-on that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data on any website.
5. Further information
The processing of personal data obtained through cookies is described in the privacy policy. For any question about this policy you can write to the email address shown at the top of this page.
6. Updates
This policy may be amended when the cookies used or the applicable regulations change. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the update date shown at the top.
